Fall in the forest city is a very magical time of year. The trees come alive with vibrant colours which line the roadways and riverbanks. Various species of trees provide for a wide diversity of red, orange and yellow leaves.
Several of the city’s parks are a fantastic way to view this dynamic transition and take in the beauty that nature puts on full display. I am very fortunate to live within walking distance of a couple of them and a short drive away from many others.
This past year I visited Victoria Park which is located in downtown London as well as McKillop Park located off of Riverside Drive next to the Thames River. I also spent some time in the Civic Gardens Complex which directly connects you to the pathways found in Springbank Park.
Each spot that I went to did not disappoint as I was able to capture trees in their different stages of colour change and overall leaves lost. The weather was warm and pleasant for walking and I spent my afternoon enjoying the beautiful sights all around me.
