Ivey Park is located along the Thames River in London, Ontario behind the old courthouse. It has a playground and splash pad for families to enjoy but if you walk towards Stanley Street there is a beautiful little garden with lots of park benches inside.
On this particular Saturday afternoon I grabbed my camera and made my way down towards the garden where I saw so many different flowers out in bloom. There was a snail that was resting on a beautiful purple flower and a Japanese beetle resting on a Coneflower.
But my favourite flower from my visit to the garden was a red blossom called Crocosmia. Only one bloom had completely opened on its stem and I loved the delicate beauty of its petals. After taking the photo off my camera I decided to name it Lady in Red.
