In my 33 years on this earth I have been through a lot of ups and downs. More downs as of late but things are starting to take a turn for the positive. I recently ended a chapter of my life and I have begun a brand new one. It is with that new beginning that I made the conscious decision to embark on this endeavour to share my love of photography.
I have always had a passion for taking photographs. It began as a child with my very first film camera. I would carefully use each roll of film, only taking photos of things that spoke to me. This translated over to my first digital camera and only furthered my love for capturing the beauty of the world around me. I would look at a particular scene and could pick out what would make a beautiful image.
Naturally, I have always been a creative individual. From dancing at a very young age, singing in a choir, drawing, painting, and scrapbooking. But photography has always been the one constant that has kept calling to me over the years.
Recently, during a major life change, I had the rare opportunity to reevaluate my life and what I wanted to do with my future. This is something that I have always struggled with in identifying the purpose of my existence and the direction that my life was headed in. I finally feel as though I am in control of my destiny and can forge my own path.
When I made the decision to share my photography with others, I opened the door to a brand new beginning full of endless possibilities. At points I have felt unsure and a bit scared but overall I feel really excited about all the potential outcomes that this opportunity will bring.
I am in the process of setting up my business and I am also creating a store on my website where prints of my work will be available for purchase. Custom orders will also be available upon request.
I hope you enjoyed this small glimpse into my love of photography and I look forward to sharing my work with you for many more years to come.
